Failure to create backup

I'm using QB Premier 2019 and whenever I try to create a local backup, the process fails at validating data. Tried rebuilding, re-installing QB but nothing worked!

How big is you file size? Install the trial license of Pro 2020 and try creating a backup file.

i also have the same problem, i use the 2015 Premier Edition. how to fix it ?

I'll lay down a couple of steps so you'll be able to create your backup file.

 

First, let's ensure to update QuickBooks Desktop to its latest release. 

If you still get the error, even with an updated QuickBooks release. There may be some minor data issues with your company file that are causing the backup error. 

 

Try running the Rebuild and Verify Utility tool to fix possible data damage on your company file. Let me demonstrate:

 

To Verify Data:

 

  1. Click Window at the top menu bar, then Close All.
  2. From the File menu, choose Utilities.
  3. Tap Verify Data.

 

To Rebuild Data:

 

  1. Click Window at the top menu bar, then Close All.
  2. From the File menu, choose Utilities.
  3. Hit Rebuild Data.
  4. You will receive a warning message to back up your company file, hit OK.
  5. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed".

Since we have verified and rebuilt your data, let's proceed to QuickBooks File Doctor. This will help us fix common errors and company file issues in QuickBooks Desktop. You'll need to close QuickBooks, then follow the steps below:

 

  1. Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Please save the file somewhere you can easily find it.
  2. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. Once done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
