Join nowWe have "Indirect Signature Required" as the default setting in Quickbooks FEDEX Shipping Manager, so all FEDEX shipments have this requirement. It seems that if "Residential" is selected in Shipping Manager that the coding sent to FEDEX for the shipment is "No Signature Required". Has anyone else had an issue with this? I suspect a bug in FEDEX shipping manager.
Hello, @IkonSign.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm here to help route you to the right support that can isolate this issue further.
I've already checked if we have an ongoing issue about this, however, we don't have any reports at this time. I'd suggest contacting our Desktop Care support so they can look into your settings in QuickBooks in a secure environment. They can further isolate this issue using their helpful tools.
Here's how you can reach them:
Keep me updated on how it goes. I'll be here to help if you have other questions about your FedEx Shipping Manager.
This error applies across the board in QuickBooks shipping manager. You cannot require direct signature either, and because of this anything you ship with QuickBooks is on you... If the customer denies they received the package you are hung. This same error in QuickBooks occurred with the first offerings of 2016 too, but was quickly fixed. Because QuickBooks has shipped all support to the Philippines they will not fix the issue this time because they do not know how or they are orphaning the desktop version. The help desk in the Philippines is clueless through level two support, and accused me the user of being difficult and wanted to charge me to address the problem. I have verified this error with FedEx - it is a QuickBooks problem... Everyone who ships with QuickBooks is at risk. Please mass respond to this issue.
It is not in settings address it is in the programing...…. Please quite ducking the issue.
QuickBooks 2019 has a terrible bug in the FedEx shipping manager - verified by FedEx. You cannot drive a signature requirement through QuickBooks shipping manager. This is a QuickBooks error that first showed up in 2012 and has required fixing every issue since - including 2019. This cost me thousands of dollars. Please everyone write QuickBooks to get this repaired.

Hello, @Rto.
I understand your thoughts regarding the indirect signature setting in QuickBooks. This isn't the kind of service we want you to experience.
I'll ensure to pass your feedback here in my end and let our developers know how this affects your business.
If you have questions about the shipping manager, please feel free to ask. I'll be around if you need help.
I am new to using FedEx through QB Enterprise.
Here's a few of the questions that I still don't have answers for as I contempt shipping through the Fulfillment Worksheet:
1. Can more than one employee simultaneously process shipping labels through the FedEx shipping manager or is it only a one person system?
2. If we choose to use our own FedEx account and pricing agreement, will the quoted price come through correctly?
3. If we want the tracking to show on the invoice but NOT the FedEx price, can we do that?
4. Currently in our FedEx program, we have a list of OUR carton sizes on a drop down list (therefore, we don't have to type them with every shipment.) Can we input this same data into the QB shipping manager?
5. Can we ship Signature Required?
6. Can we ship Date Specific?
7. Can we ship Home Delivery (Saturday delivery)?
Thanks,
TR
