Getting SPAM ads in QBO constantly

Has anyone else started to get spammed with Intuit ads while using QuickBooks Online?  Literally EVERY TIME I enter a payment I get a full-screen pop-up advertisement from Intuit telling me to "Get payments and banking all in one". It doesn't appear to matter how many times I "thumb down" the ad, it still pops up.

Does anyone know how to get this spamming to stop?  It's a serious hinder to my productivity, and greatly slows down the work I have to do.  It's offensive that this company continues to throw advertisements in my face like this within their product I'm already paying for.  I'm a business owner, I know what I want.  I know what I DON'T want.  I don't want Intuit spamming me, and I don't want to use their banking service.

Apologies for my frustration, but I hate this.  I don't have time for it.  If Intuit wants to advertise, put it somewhere that's not intrusive, out of the way, and doesn't affect my workflow in any form.

Getting SPAM ads in QBO constantly

I can see the inconvenience this has caused you, @JonInspire2018

I understand how this can affect you working within the program, so I'll be sure to take note of it. Our engineers make improvements in QuickBooks Online by listening to our customers' suggestions and comments.

In the meantime, I'd suggest clicking on the X or No, thanks buttons. QBO will turn off the ads and remember your choice.

For now, you can visit the QuickBooks Blog to check for new updates and features that we have.

Thank you for your response.

Clicking "X" did not resolve the issue as the pop-up ads still appear.  Also there is not a "No Thanks" option (screenshot attached) unless I'm missing something?  Regardless, why can't Intuit refrain from advertising on a program we are paying for? Sure it's an attempt to educate us and help run our businesses more efficiently, but we already know about these services, and don't need intrusive reminders.  If we want these services, we will seek it out.

If they are so insistent on promoting other products and features, how about putting these advertisements in a completely separate module in QuickBooks like you do for your insurance advertising?  Better yet, tuck them in the with the notifications with your other ads.

Business owners know how to conduct business.  We use only the services we need, and do not appreciate receiving ads while working.  It's more offensive than receiving spam phone calls since we are paying for this program. While I appreciate being notified of new services and features, I would much rather have these being tucked away in the notifications icon of QuickBooks so I can either dismiss them or take advantage of them if they're right for my company.

Please strongly consider removing pop-up ads in your paid products, as it shows respect for your customers.  Please put them in the notifications section instead.  I'm pretty certain doing this will help improve the positive perception of your companies.

I'm continuing to get the pop-up ad each time I record a payment.  By clicking "X" each time, QuickBooks clearly isn't remembering my preferences.

Please provide other solutions to how I can make this stop.

Thanks,

Getting SPAM ads in QBO constantly

Hello there, @JonInspire2018.

Currently, closing the ads permanently is unavailable. I can see that it would help customers create transactions, so I'll take note of it.

I'd also encourage you to send one. That'll be sent directly to our Product Development team and they will assess it. Check the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top and click on Feedback.
  2. Provide detailed information about this feature request and click Next. This is how it looks like:

You may check out this article for more information: How do I submit feedback?. You can also track the feedback that you've sent through this link: https://feedback.qbo.intuit.com.

If you have other QuickBooks-related questions, you can always tag my name in the comment section. Take care.

It appears providing "feedback" doesn't work or isn't taken seriously.  I've seen multiple postings about this offensive issue back in 2019...It's not a product development request.  This is an advertising problem, and demonstrates a lack of courtesy towards paid subscribers.   You're pushing ads to paying customers who do NOT want to have this constant intrusion.  Do you guys understand that we use QB because we are running businesses?  Do you think we have time to deal with these ads everytime we do something on here?  QBO is not like Candy Crush or freeware where one would expect to get all kinds of ads, because it's FREE.

I sure wish there was other options or that I had the time to research alternatives to QBO.

Hey I have an idea!  How about an ad-free add-on feature?  It seems Intuit just wants more money, so allow us pay you off. Please?

I have been researching this issue with the ads, and just do are aware, you guys (Quickbooks staff) have been saying the exact same thing for years. " We will forward to be reviewed by the programmers" blah blah blah nothing ever changes.   Jan 1 2021 we are starting with Oracle.

You're lieing as usual. X'ing out of the ads for years produces the same ads, if not more aggressively.
