How do I cancel Turbotax Self-Employed but keep Quickbooks Self-Employed?

Thank you for getting back to us here on the Community page, @eeflore18.

Clicking the Cancel Subscription button might cancel the account. If you don't have the Keep QuickBooks Self-Employed option, let's try replicating the steps using a private window. Sometimes, the regular browser tends to hold onto information, and over time it could cause problems while working with QuickBooks.

To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift +N

If the problem continues, I suggest reaching out to our Support Team so they can check and verify this further. Also, they'll be able to safely cancel just the Turbotax and keep the QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription. For the support's contact information, check this article.

How do I cancel Turbotax Self-Employed but keep Quickbooks Self-Employed?

Hi there, @eeflore18.

Let me share some insights on how to cancel your Turbotax Self-Employed.

Before we begin, please know that when we downgrade your bundle means, we'll be also losing all the TurboTax Self-Employed features. I've listed them below:

  • File faster by exporting your Schedule C to TurboTax
  • E-file one state and one federal return without filing fees
  • Online payment for quarterly taxes

To downgrade, here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Choose Billing Info.
  3. At the bottom of the Billing Info page, click on Cancel now.
  4. Select the Keep QuickBooks Self-Employed option
  5. Click Change subscription.

Also, if you make a change before the end of your billing cycle, you'll receive a prorated refund for the bundled price.

I'm adding our handy articles, so you can learn more about QuickBooks Self-Employed. It provides topics that might help with your future task:

How do I cancel Turbotax Self-Employed but keep Quickbooks Self-Employed?

Hi there,

When I click "Cancel" at the bottom of the Billing Info page I don't get the Keep QuickBooks Self-Employed option. I've added a screenshot to what I'm seeing.

Do I hit "Cancel Subscription" and then am I given the option to keep quickbooks?
