HP LD220 Pole Display

Ive been using my HP LD220 Pole Display for over 10 years, and through several POS versions.  I’m currently using v12 and the Pole Display was working fine.  I just relocated my POS system to a new computer, which is apparently a 64 bit Windows 10 OS.  I’ve located the hp driver on my installation disk but it is not 64 bit compatible.  Is there a driver available for my new computer or is it time to replace the pole?

HP LD220 Pole Display

Hello there, Jim Luftman.

QuickBooks 2012 is no longer supported in Windows 10. To verify this detail, I'd recommend looking it online. With that said, you might need to upgrade to a higher and supported versions of QuickBooks Point of Sale so it will be compatible with your Windows operating system. You can download it here: Download QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.

After that, you can already install the downloaded program: Install QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.

Meanwhile, I'd recommend contacting the HP Support Team about the drivers that are compatible with Window 10. They can give you links or steps on how to download it.

Here's an article related to the hardware drivers for QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale: Install compatible hardware drivers for QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.

We'll be right here if you need anything else.

HP LD220 Pole Display

My POS v12 has been running fine on Windows 10. I just upgraded QB (not POS) to QB 2021, which shows compatibility with POS 12,18 &19.  I have no desire to spend additional dollars to update my QB POS, as I am using it with QODBC, which only supports releases up to QBPOS 18 and, imho, it would not be wise only to update to v18 (if I were to update, I’d want to be current).  My only issue is with the Pole Display. I am happy with all other QBPOS 12 functionality.  I will check with HP but I am certain that their answer will be that this is discontinued hardware and I was hoping there were other QBPOS users who have experienced the same issues I am having and found a workaround.
