If you encountered an error while trying to run payroll, you might have exceeded your direct deposit limit. There's a maximum amount allowed for direct deposits. You can send a request to increase your limit, or you can pay your employees by paper check.


Here's how to run payroll by paper check:

  1. On the Run Payroll page, click the pay method icon for each employee.
  2. Select Paper check.
  3. Proceed to the other payroll information needed.
  4. Click Preview Payroll.
  5. Submit payroll.
  6. Finish payroll.
