I have been trying to initiate a chat with QB for 2 days and all I get is a blank screen when I hit submit. How do I get help with connecting 2 bank accounts?

I have been trying to initiate a chat with QB for 2 days and all I get is a blank screen when I hit submit. How do I get help with connecting 2 bank accounts?

As mentioned above, you can also use another supported browser like Google Chrome so you’ll be able to have a chat session with our support team. 

 

On the other hand, you can also follow the steps below to connect your bank accounts in QuickBooks Online.

 

 Here’s how: 

 

1. In your QuickBooks Online, select the Banking tab and click Add Account.

2. Search and choose the bank account you use for your business from the list.

3. Sign in to your bank. Once done, you will see all of your available accounts listed. select the appropriate type and QuickBooks will begin pulling the last 90 days of transactions.

 

To connect your other accounts, you'll have to create a new one in Chart of Accounts then connect your bank from there. 

 

 Here's how to create a new account:

 

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of accounts
  2. Click the New button. 
  3. On the Account window, fill in the Detail Type, the Name, and all other information.
  4. Specify whether this is a sub-account of another account or not.
  5. Provide the Opening Balance of the account.
  6. Click Save and close.

 

Once done, you may now add your bank:

 

  1. Go back to your Chart of Accounts and select the new account that you’ve created a while ago.
  2. From the View register, click the drop-down arrow and select Connect bank.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect your bank account.

We'd really want to provide the help that you need for connecting bank accounts, usersuzanne-keers.

 

Have you tried initiating a chat session using a different browser? A possible cache issue might have been causing a blank screen when opening the chat window. You can either log in to QBO using an incognito browsing session or delete your browsing history. Just use these keyboard shortcuts to open a private or incognito browsing session:

 

  • Ctrl Shift N  for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift P  for Firefox
  • Control Option +if you're using Safari

Once done, log back in to QBO and check if you can already get a chat agent. These articles will also guide you through the steps on how to connect your bank account in QuickBooks:

I tried Incognito and also tried clearing my cashe and restarting Firefox.  Still get a blank screen when I it submit on the chat.

I have been trying to initiate a chat with QB for 2 days and all I get is a blank screen when I hit submit. How do I get help with connecting 2 bank accounts?

I received an email  to “open chat” with jay limpahan yesterday . 
I don’t know how to connect with him?

My case number is [removed]

[Removed License Number]

after providing  Jay  with all the information he requested , he requested that I close QB and go back in .  After doing so , I have not been able to  open QB?.

The latest email I received is for the  case number above requesting  documentation from me , proof of ownership and driver license, which I sent . The email said I will get a response in 3 days . I really don’t know what’s happening with my desktop install. I can not get to open the home page to open a company, nor do I have a QB log on icon.

 

Yesterday, after contacting customer support , I received a link to reinstall QB.I am trying to active my reinstall of QB Accountant . However, after I successfully was able to bring up my account I got a message that said I exceeded the number of days to register and it took me to the chat / message center wher I was redirected to Jay.

I would appreciate a call or response to this chat. TY.

Also, thank you for following the steps provided by our Customer Support. 

 

You can activate or register your QuickBooks Desktop account from the Help menu. Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu and select Activate QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Follow the steps on the screen to verify your information.

Since, you're having the notification that you've exceeded the number of days to register, then I suggest reaching back out to them. They can  assist you from where you left off with Jay Limpahan. You can follow the steps below on how to reach them:

  1. From your QuickBooks Desktop account, click the Help menu at the top.  
  2. Click the QuickBooks Desktop Help menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Provide some information about this concern on the search box.
  4. Click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the window. 
  5. You'll now be provided with a few support options.
