I'm trying to implement data level permissions in QB Enterprise without success. The Edit Role screen when I should be able to link the Customer Group to the Role does not give me the ability to link the group and role together.
I’m running QB Enterprise: Manufacturing and Wholesale 21.0
.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Jenny

Hey there, @Jenny-TMX.
Thanks for following up with us and clarifying that you met Data level permissions. I'm happy to explain the feature further to you.
Data level permissions are now available in our 2021 Enterprise Platinum and Diamond subscription plans. If you wish to use this feature you'll need to ensure that you upgrade to Platinum or Diamond. You can upgrade by contacting our Customer Service Team. Our Customer Service Team can review your account in a secure environment and go over the cost details with you.
Within the article that you've provided, it explains how you can use permissions. Please keep in mind that you won't see this level of permissions without upgrading as mentioned above.
In the new and improved data level permissions, you can customize user access to view, edit, or delete from a specific group of customers, vendors, and data they are responsible for. This is to help improve security and confidentiality by limiting user access to only the specific data, transactions, and reports they are responsible for.
Please check out New and improved features in QuickBooks Desktop and Enterprise 2021 for additional details.
Let me know if you have further questions or concerns. I'll be here every step of the way. You can reach out to the Community at any time. Take care and have a fantastic day ahead!
Thank you for taking the time to post today, Jenny.
At the moment, we don't have this level of customization on roles. I suggest sending feedback to our product engineers by going to Help and choosing Send Feedback Online.
If you have other questions, feel free to go back to this thread.
Hi Jess,
I'm confused. Could you explain the following post from Intuit?
I am trying to implement what is explained in the above link.
