Using 2020 Quickbooks Premier Contractor edition.
I have a sick feeling I know the answer but ... We were on Quickbooks online. We just switched to Desktop. The accountant set up our file and it has all the 2019 information. NOW we need to get all the 2020 transactions we had in the ONLINE version into the desktop file. (Long story why this transition was done this way).
I cannot see any way to accomplish this other than to literally manually re-input everything! Is this true? I see a report called "journal" in quickbooks online that has all the data I need But I don't see a way to get that into the desktop version.
Any suggestions?
THanks.
You can import transactions from QuickBooks Online to Desktop using a third-party app, @pjmitchell55.
To do this, you may consider visiting our QuickBooks App marketplace. From there, you can browse for available apps that you can integrate with QuickBooks.
I also suggest reading the Get QuickBooks Desktop user guides article. This will help provide additional guidance on how you can navigate the desktop version.

Utilize a 3rd party migration tool. i.e TPExporter for Online, TPImporter for Desktop.

Unfortunately, although during the process of trying to export Quickbooks Online asks for a date range, it ignores it, and I get ALL transactions in Quickbooks Online.
We already have through end of 2019 in the Quickbooks file the accountant gave us. I need to ONLY get the 2020 transactions. I have tried multiple times and every time I get EVERYTHING.
If you know of a way to make the export process work with specific dates, please let me know.
THank you!
Sorry - I did not read that you were suggesting a third party software. So you can ignore my previous response. Thanks for your help though !
