Join nowHello,
I have Quickbooks for Mac 2013 on an old Macbook Pro running OS Yosemite 10.10.5. I want to move my company file to a Mac Pro running Quickbooks for Mac 2020 on OS Mojave 10.14.5. I've run a back up and imported the file to the other machine, but I seem to be losing some of the transactions. Any suggestions?

Hey Tomibis. Normally when upgrading files from an older and unsupported version of QuickBooks, we like to recommend you only move 3 versions at a time. Sometimes when upgrading older files there can be data loss due to corruption in the file.
QuickBooks attempts to fix this by verifying, and rebuilding the data but this isn't always 100% effective when moving so many versions forward. The only way to make sure your data is always up to date and doesn't get corrupted is to update at least every 3 years before product discontinuation.
Here's our article as well on verifying and rebuilding data as well. Sometimes this can fix issues like this. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Try duplicating your working file and moving that to your new Mac.
Thanks, that seemed to work. It was a little funky, but ultimately, I was able to access everything on the new computer.
