Inventory build assembly crashes

I want to help fix the crashing issue with QuickBooks when building an assembly, MFTAXES.

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) usually crashes when there is damage in the company or installation file. This may slow down your business process.

To fix the issue, you can start by updating QBDT to the latest release. It'll help ensure the program has all the updated components.

After updating QBDT, restart your computer for changes to take effect. Once back, open QuickBooks and navigate the build assembly feature.

If the same issue persists, you need to clean install your QBDT software. This requires you from downloading the fully updated program through our website.

Just have your license number handy. Please refer to this link for instructions and detailed steps: Clean install QuickBooks Desktop.

If you're getting the same results, I recommend contacting our QBDT Live Support Team. They can create a case under your account and investigate your company file.

Let me know if you need additional information about the solution I've provided. Just leave a comment below and I'm always right here to help you.

Inventory build assembly crashes

Hello there, MFTAXES.

There are a few steps to better isolate this issue. Let's start with identifying how many users are affected by the unrecoverable error.

If the error only happens in one specific user, that user credential might be damaged. If so, recreate the damaged user.

If a regular user is damaged:

  1. From the Company menu, select Set Up Users and Passwords > Set Up Users.
Enterprise users: Go to the Company menu, then select Users > Set Up Users and Roles.
  2. Select Add User..., then type the user name and password. Select Next.
Note: Do not use the damaged user name.
  3. Customize the user as necessary, then select Finish.
  4. Go to the File menu, then select Close Company/Logoff.
  5. Log in to the company file using the new log-in credential.

If the Admin user is damaged, you'll want to run the QuickBooks File Doctor from the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
