Inventory Build Assembly Issue

I'm trying to build inventory and having issues.

I have an item - candle dots that I order from my vendor, received and paid Aug 1.  I want to now create a build product using these dots.

I go to the build assembly page, create a build dated Sept 1, add the dots item.  Qty on hand says 1000.  I get max number you can build from the qty on hand: 0.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  Inventory report says I have 1000 on hand as of Sept 1.  This is happening on multiple items I'm trying to build.

Help!

Inventory Build Assembly Issue

Good Morning, @Tamaram1

Congrats on making your first post here in the Community. Allow me to give you some insight about why you're not able to get a maximum number to build from.

The reason why you're receiving a zero instead of a number for the maximum is that you need to have an amount for the QTY on hand associated with the item called DOTS-006. Once you enter an amount for the QTY on hand for that item, then you'll be able to see a maximum so that you can combine items to build finished goods.

See, there was no need to worry. The Community is always here to have your back. Here are a few articles that can help you out with your inventory:

This should do the trick. Should you need any further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. I'm always here to lend a helping hand. Have a great holiday ahead!
