However I keep getting an error trying to export to Windows in her company files when opened on her IMAC. Is there a specific process I have to go through to move a/many company file(s) from a mac install to a PC? Is it also possible to transfer the license for the Mac install to the new Windows?

Hard to tell without knowing the error message. Your client will have to purchase the Windows product, there is no license transfer that I'm aware of.
