Join nowHello,
Currently I have a company file hosted on a server and up until now we haven't needed to have more than 5 concurrent users. We are in the process of making some changes and it has been brought up that we might need more than 5 users in the file at any given time. We are running QuickBooks Premier 2019 everything I've read says that for premier you may have "up to 5 users". Does this mean that even if I were to purchase another Premier license with 5 more seats I wouldn't be able to have all 10 users working on the company file at the same time? If so, what is the recourse to this? Is purchasing the Enterprise version the only way get around this?
Thanks,
Josh

Yes you are correct. Premier only for up to 5 users working on same file at the same time. Consider Premier Accoutant for 10 users with a one time license should your team need working on 2 data files at the same time for up to 5 users in turns. But should you need 6 users or more working on the same data file at the same time, QB Enterprise is the only option. Consider purchasing the license thru a partner/reseller to get 20% perpetual discount.

I hate to suggest it, but QBO Advanced would give up to 25 users, basic Enterprise covers up to 10, with up to 40 at extra cost.
But, bottom line, list price to get into Enterprise (consider annual renewal rate) is around $1200 and hosting is extra, but QBO Advanced at $1800/year billed monthly comes with hosting built in
QBO Advanced is another option as mentioned by john-pero, if only you don't mind with the cloud platform.

But if you still prefer Desktop platform, the answer is Enterprise. You may put data file on a 3rd party hosting service or deploy a private cloud solution to combine LAN users and mobile users working on the same file at the same time.

Hosting isn't a concern of ours, as we have servers on premise we can use. Looks like Enterprise is the best option. Thanks for the help you guys!
