Join nowI am running QB2016 Desktop. I had to have my laptop reimaged due to an issue with windows. All data was saved. Prior to the reimaging my register had entries up to a week ago. Now when I open QB's and chose the .qbw that i was using the register entries stop in June 2016.
There are a few reasons why you have missing data entries, Randy1952.
It could be you restored an old back up file or no backup file was created.
You can manually search your .qbb company file and check the Modified Date. If you don't have a .qbb file format, you'll need to manually create the transactions.
Here are a few guide articles that would help you restore and recover data.

Randy,
Did you ever figure out why the copy was only making it to 2016, I have a similar problem. The entire system has been restored, QB is running, but when I open the QB file, I only have transactions up to October 2016. Where you able to fix the issue?
Hello Randy,
Where you able to figure out why your company file only made it to 2016? I have the same issue I restored the machine and QB is working fine, but when I open the copied QB file, I only have the transactions up to October 2016.
Thanks...
