Join nowI'm logged in as a single user. In process of updating inventory accounts (correcting COGS accounts), QB tells me that I need to switch to single user mode to save changes. I tried to use the Messenger option "to communicate with other users" and of course I get a message that I'm not in multi-user mode. So I get these two contradicting message and just stuck in this circle. I can't finish my corrections that must be done.
Hey there, @Sveta.
Once you're finished modifying your inventory accounts, you can switch your company file back to multi-user mode to enable the messaging feature. Here's how:
That's it! For more information on features available in each mode, I recommend checking out: Features available and tasks you can perform in single or multi-user mode

Thank you Michael, but what you suggested doesn't solve my problem.
My post says: I'm logged in as a single user. In process of updating inventory accounts (correcting COGS accounts), QB tells me that I need to switch to single user mode to save changes. In other words - I need to finish my task that can be done only in single user. I am logged in as single user and QB tells me that I am not. It tells me that I can communicate with other users. I wanted to see why it tells me that and tried to use the Messenger option. Then I get a message that I an not in multi-user mode, which I already know that I am not. The screenshot shows those two messages. My question is why it doesn't see me as a single user for my task but it does see as a single user for another. To finish my task i must be a single user.
Thanks for getting back to us, @Sveta.
