Join nowHello,
I work for a software company that has a tool to export payroll info from our software into QBs.
Right now we export to Vendor List smoothly. We are now looking for a way to export to Employee List. It seems you can export Names only. Is this true?
We would like to export the Name (map to existing in QBs) and the total amount of the payout.
Just the total would be great - taxes, etc. could be manually adjusted once it is in QBs.
If anyone has any information on this I would greatly appreciate it.
Regards,
Neelie
Hello there, FTneelie.
Thank you for posting in the Community. I'm here to provide additional clarification about importing data to QuickBooks Desktop.
Right now, you can only import Employee list into the QuickBooks system. Right now, you can only import Employee list into the QuickBooks system. You can use the IIF file format to import the data coming from different platforms.
Since we don't support importing payroll data yet, I also recommend searching for third-party programs that can help upload the transactions.
For more insights into what you can import, I'm adding the article I recommend:
Export or import Intuit Interchange Format (.IIF) files.
Please get in touch with me here should you have any additional questions or concerns.
You can go here:
And see what is being done there. You seem to be asking about Transactions, not "to Vendor List" or employee.
The transaction Type of Paycheck cannot be imported. You can use regular Checks with payroll details and the employee name as Payee. You can use JE, as long as this file does not also need Job Tracking.
