Report for (daily/range of time) sales and current inventory

Thanks for sharing what you'd like to achieve in QuickBooks, leahhag.

We're unable to combine the sales and inventory in one report. Though, we can run the Sales by Item Summary report for the sold items and the Inventory Valuation Summary report for the current inventory. This way, you'll be able to see all the desired information.

Here's how to view the sold items:

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. Select Sales and then choose Sales by Item Summary.
3. Enter the correct date.
4. Click Customize Report to filter the other necessary details.
5. Once done, click on OK.

To run the Inventory Valuation Summary report, I suggest following these steps:

1. From the Reports menu, select Inventory.
2. Choose Inventory Valuation Summary.
3. Enter the correct date.
4. Click Customize Report to filter the other necessary details.
5. Once done, click on OK.

Additionally, you can memorize the customized reports in QuickBooks Desktop. Doing so helps you easily access them in the future.

Thank you!  I think we might be able to use the (a modified) Inventory Valuation report since it does appear to allow us to select the day/date of when items were sold, but is there a way to specify a time range during which the items were sold, vs. just day or date range?  If we run this report a few times a day, we'd like to be able to select times such that we are not re-running same info.  Thank you!

However, adding a time on when the items were sold is unavailable. You can only add the date on the report.

Ok, thank you.  Is there a way to suggest/request such a report for future?  I have seen similar requests - with similar answers - that don't quite seem to get what we want, so it seems a report such as this would be valued by and useful to many.  Thank you!

Hello - I'm just following up to this exchange to see if there have been any updates/changes that might allow users to run an "Items Sold" report that includes remaining inventory, and allows user to select date/time ranges.  Thank you!

1. Click the Help menu and then select Send Feedback Online.
2. Choose Product Suggestion.
