Starting new QB Company from existing Company from 2019 forward

I want to start a fresh copy of my quickbooks company.  I only want transactions from 1/1/2019 forward.  I've tried the condense utility, but it leaves all my payroll data because I use a payroll subscription and direct deposit.  Whenever I try to delete those paychecks, I get "You cannot delete a transaction that affects payroll taxes handled by the Payroll Service".  I just want a clean copy starting 1/1/19.  I'm willing to pay for a 3rd party utility if one exists.

Try deleting the payroll subscription from the new company before condensing.  When you create a copy you are creating a copy with payroll activated, is my guess. You should be changing the name of the company when you make a copy to differentiate it. Once it has been condensed reactivate payroll on that file

@Bella14

I agreed to john-pero to stop the payroll service, condense it, and restart the payroll service in the new data file.

If the problem still persists, utilize the 3rd party migration tool
