Join nowMy Quickbooks 2011 QBW file was getting big (1,138,076) so I decided to upgrade to QB Pro 2019 so I could remove the audit trail and reduce the file size (reduced it by 62%). I guess from what I am reading that updating all the way to 2019 in one step does not work. That is what I did, but when I try to use the 2019 version it works for a little while then freezes and I have to do alt, ctrl, delete and end it. From what I gather from the forum I need to step it up 3 years at the time. So I am needing the trial install codes for QB Pro 2014 and QB Pro 2017 so I can step my QBW file up to QB Pro 2019. Can someone help me out with that.
Thanks
Gregory

You only need to upgrade to QBD 2015 prior to opening your file on QBD 2019. Contact us in private and we may share the trial code.
intuit does not support any version older than 3 years, hence the necessity to step up.
Best thing you can do is call around to the accounting firms and QB people to see if someone has the intervening years you need installed and are willing to help you out.
An option is to have intuit data services do it for you. As I understand it, if you bought the new version from intuit they will do it for free, other wise it costs something (I'm not sure how much)
