What are the pros and cons of using the native Intuit Quickbooks Novo connector vs. Novo’s Integration connector?

Hi there, @mike-corcoran-re.

I can share some details about the integration of Novo with QuickBooks.

Connecting Novo account to QuickBooks is only through the Novo app, or on QuickBooks Online. After you've successfully linked your QuickBooks account, the bank transactions from your Novo account will automatically send to QuickBooks.

However, Novo doesn't currently connect with QuickBooks Desktop. That said if the customer is using QBDT and wanted to get the transactions from Novo, exporting the bank info as a CSV file will be needed to upload.

I've added this article for your future task when you're ready to assess your business financials in QuickBooks Online: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks. This includes how to fix bank errors or how to unreconcile it if needed.

Please don't hesitate to let me know in the comment section below if you have other questions. It will be my pleasure to help you further. Take care always and I hope you're doing well.

What are the pros and cons of using the native Intuit Quickbooks Novo connector vs. Novo’s Integration connector?

Hello,

Thanks for taking to time to help a noob. I appreciate it....

I wanted to circle back around to your answer.

" Connecting Novo account to QuickBooks is only through the Novo app, or on QuickBooks Online."

My question was (more precisely):  What are the benefits to using the Novo app integration or the QB online connector? Which method/service is better, or are there no real advantages to selecting either one?

-Kind Regards

Thanks for helping out this noob.  I appreciate it...

Allow me to clarify my question.  Which method is more advantageous, the Novo App integrator (provided by Novo), or the QB online connector for Novo (provided by Intuit)?  ...or is there no difference in how they behave?

Thanks for clarifying your question, Mike.

Here in the QuickBooks Community, we can help you with questions regarding our QuickBooks products and services. Howerver, we have limited information for apps. In fact, we have a different Community for apps and developers.

If you can send the link to us about this connectors, we'll be happy to check the details for you.

Hi from Novo! I can help clarify here - you can connect your Novo bank account to your QuickBooks Online account while in QuickBooks; this will allow you to import your bank transactions from Novo.

In addition, Novo has an integration with QuickBooks Online inside Novo, that allows you to view your P&L and Expense Category data while inside Novo.

Hope this helps!
