If so, you can leave it blank when creating the invoice. You only add he service dates if necessary. You can also use this article for additional reference: How to Create an Invoice.
If you mean something else, additional details and screenshots would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
If you leave it blank, Quickbooks auto populates the column with the date the invoice was created, leading to questions from clients about how you did the service on that day.

I can see that this can cause confusion to your clients. I would recommend contacting our Support, so they can take screenshots of your invoices as the reporting customer. They will gather enough data to report this.
