First, re-verify your account balance to ensure it reflects the correct amount after deleting the double entry.
 

  1. Go to the Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account on the list.
  3. Select View register.
  4. Search for the opening balance entry. It should have "Opening Balance Equity" in the Account column.
  5. Take note of the date and balance.

Next, update any financial reports that were affected by this mistake. Also, look through other transactions to make sure there are no more duplicates.
 

After that, I recommend doing another reconciliation of the account now that you've fixed the error.
