Join nowI have some some customers that I would like to make inactive. However, there are recurring transactions, currently paused, associated with these particular customers. I would like to know if I delete the recurring transactions for these customers, will all the historical data be deleted as well.
Any and all assistance is appreciated.
Thank you

Hi @ld-kore.
Changing or deleting information in your QuickBooks Online won't affect your historical data as far as transactions, invoices, and expenses go.
Once you delete the recurring transaction template you can then delete(inactivate) the customer. You'll always be able to view any inactive customers by simply selecting "view inactive" in the customer list.
Check out this resource for additional details: How to edit, delete, and restore lists
Simply as that! I'll be around if you have any additional questions. Don't hesitate to ask.

I know how important it is for you to delete recurring transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed. I'm here to help you with this.
Although there is no option to delete all the recurring transactions at once in QuickBooks Self-Employed only in QuickBooks Online and Desktop, we still have a workaround that can help you address this issue. We can exclude transactions that you do not want to include in your books.
To exclude transactions on an iPhone, iPad, Android phone, or tablet, follow these steps:
For more information, we have a guide article on how to delete your data in QuickBooks Self-Employed: Delete bank and transaction data in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Moreover, you may want to visit this article for future reference on how to categorize the transactions you download from your bank or enter into QuickBooks: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Let me know if you need further help with deleting those recurring transactions in QuickBooks or anything else by leaving a reply below. Take care and have a great rest of the day!
