Reinstall QBPro 2019 Error

I'm trying to reinstall QBPro 2019 after getting this error following a recent update:  qbupdate.exe - Bad Image. C:\Windows\System32\mfc140.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact the system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000021f.

I've uninstalled QB from my computer, but the Downloader keeps telling me "You have a similar product already installed on this computer." However, I've checked that I do not. I've restarted, and turned off the machine and started it again, allowed a Microsoft update to run with its restarts, and still get the message that won't allow me to reinstall the software. Help! ASAP!

Let ensure you'll be able to reinstall your QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019.

To start with, you need to successfully uninstall QuickBooks from your computer through the Programs and Features from the Control Panel

Here's how:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu. Search for “Control Panel”, then open Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program.
  3. From the list of installed programs, select the version of QuickBooks Desktop you're having problems with.
  4. Click Uninstall/Change and then Remove
  5. Tap Next. If you don’t see this option, sign out and sign back into Windows as an admin (or a user with admin rights).
