Join nowHi everyone! This just started happening with this latest update - was fine until then...
When looking at a Sales Receipt, there's a slider on the right hemisphere of the page that shows two tabs: Customer and Transaction and this slider window populates with:
Customer Tab:
Summary
Recent Transactions
Notes
The Transaction Tab shows:
Amount
Summary
Related Transactions
Notes
Normally this populates useful data, but after updating the software it just says "Loading...". It seems intermittent in that sometimes it will work. My 'normal' user account it has stopped showing, if I log in under Admin, it works maybe 30% of the time. It seems to be with the log in, not so much it shows and then stops during a use.
Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas of something to check?
This is Quickbooks Premiere 2018
I'll help you fix this so that you can view the customer details and transaction history in your sales receipt again, @VaraMark.
It could be that there's a minor system issue within the company file. This is the reason why you're experiencing this kind of behavior. We can fix this one by performing some basic troubleshooting steps.
First, let's run the Verify Data tool. This will detect problems within your data. Here's how:
If you see your data has lost integrity, this indicates that there is data damage in the file. We can run the Rebuild Data tool to fix this. Just follow these steps:
After this, you will receive a warning message to backup your company file, simply press OK. This will secure your data file if the rebuilding process is unsuccessful.
Once done, the Rebuild Data utility starts as soon as the backup is finished. Just click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed".
Please let me know how it goes in the comment section. Feel free to go back to this thread if you need anything else.
Thank you for that option. I had tried that after posting. Originally it said there was one error. But upon rebuild it said no errors when done.
I also went to update, reset all and updated. That did not help either...
any other suggestions would be very welcome! This just started after I did the latest update - in case that means anything...
Thank you for that answer... I had tried that after posting- it said there was one error (line #2802?) upon rebuild it said no errors were found. When that didn’t work I went to update and reset all warnings and updated. That did fix either... any other suggestions would be welcomed as I’m trying to reconcile a poorly maintained file and the related transactions allow me to see double entries.
Thanks for trying the troubleshooting steps provided above, VaraMark.
There's a possibility that user profiles are damaged instead of the company file. Let's refresh your Admin user profile by resetting your password: Reset your password for QuickBooks Desktop.
For the normal user profile, we can delete and recreate it to refresh the data:
If the same issue occurs, I'd recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. They can review your company file and provide additional troubleshooting steps.
Feel free to get back to us if you need anything else.
Tried the members thing - sad thing is that I lost all my navigation / faves...
Was going to attempt a clean reinstall of the software and when I went to uninstall - it have a 'repair' option so I tried that... IT WORKED!
Files appear good and I can see my related transactions again...
Thank you all for the responses...
