I'll ensure that you'll be able to get the data that you're looking for, @kross1. You came in the right place for a response.

I can give you a report where you can review the expenses transactions details. By doing so, you can know what transactions that don't have customer's associated.

Currently, there's no report to pull to see if an expense is not assigned to a customer/project. But, you can run the Transaction List by Vendor report and open the transactions one at a time. This way, you can review if there's assigned customer/project.

Do the following:

  1. Go to the Reports tab on the upper left pane.
  2. Type the said report in the search box and press Enter on your keyboard.
  3. Click the Customize button.
  4. Go to the Filter section, select Expenses in the Transaction Type drop-down arrow.
  5. Filter all the appropriate information and click Run report
  6. Hit the expenses one at a time.

For more details about customization, check out these article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

You can also click the Save Customization button to memorize the report. It'll help you save time since it automatically updates every time there are newly added transactions. Check out this article for more details: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

In addition, consult the following articles to learn about how to print, export, and email different reports available in your subscription:

I can show you another guide or overview if you have other questions about your account. Feel free to leave a comment below, and the support is just a pole away. Be safe always.
