Restore a deleted transaction to reconciled account

Hi,

I unreconciled a deposit of $4260 (Image A)  from a reconciled period and linked part of the deposit ($750) to an overdue invoice. Now my Reconciliation Report (image B) shows the deposit as deleted, the History by Account page (Image C) has  -$4260 under changes, but the transaction is still in the register and listed as reconciled "R" (Image D).  I also unreconciled 3 other transactions from the next month (Image E) and those are showing up on the reconciliation report as "Moved". I want to re-reconcile the transactions so that thing zero out.  How do I fix?

Restore a deleted transaction to reconciled account

It's my pleasure to help you, @OOA2.

When you reconcile, you'll need to match your bank statement in QuickBooks for a specific period. If it’s incorrect, it affects all of your reconciliations.

To make sure your transactions are unreconciled in the registers, you'll need to open your register and clear the transaction. Here' show:

  1. Go to the Accounting tab on the left menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the account and select View register
  4. Click the transaction you want to unreconcile.
  5. Review the check column. If the transaction is reconciled, you’ll see an “R.” Click on it under the Reconcile Status (✓) column until C (for Cleared) appears.
  6. Click Save. Repeat these steps to clear the reversing entry.

Normally, when you make certain adjustments on your reconciliation, it will show up on the reconciliation report as "Moved".
