Restoring a backup file

Using Quickbooks Destop Pro 2019. When I backup, it uses a QBW file, but after that says

Latest as of 11282018 (Backup April 12,2019 12 19 pm).

Then when I get into my Quickbooks, it is only basked up from Nov. 28,2018

Trying to use backup from April 12, 2019

Restoring a backup file

Thanks for taking the time to post here in the Community, @Brian Cada

I'll share some insights about creating a backup of your company file.

It's possible you've backed up an incorrect company file, which is why you can only see the data up from Nov. 28, 2018.

The program backs up all data within a company file you're currently in. To change the company file being backed up, you'll need to first open the right company file. Then, you can go to the File menu at the top. From there, select Backup Company and click Create Local Backup. Please see the screenshot below to serve as your visual guide.

To learn more about the backup process, here's a great article you can refer to: Create Backup

If you have a backup copy of your company file, you can restore it on your QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019. By doing so, it will automatically update your file. You can perform the steps through this article: Restore A Backup

The information above will help get your data up from April 12, 2019, @Brian Cada

Should you have any follow-up concerns about this or you need anything else, please let me know. I'm always here to help.
