Join nowUsing sales order fulfillment worksheet assuming already partially picked an item and partially packed as well (I can’t fully pack because quantity ordered is more than we have on hand but we want to go ahead and box and ship) can I mark it partially shipped instead of shipped? If I do shipped it seems to show the item fully shipped. Or how do I handle partial shipment of an item or let’s say one item is fully shipped but the other is on backorder. I want to be able to know that the order has partially shipped so I can invoice it. I already have backlog tracking turned on on the sales orders and invoices. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your on-point details about your concern, @Paul W.
I'll share some insights about using the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet in the program.
Once a sales order (SO) is created and you marked it as a partial shipment, the program is updating the original SO's quantity and not leaving an open balance waiting to be shipped. This is called a backorder tracking.
If the item is already shipped, the system will not allow you to change the status to partially shipped.

Hi Charles,
Your screenshot doesn't match what I saw today in my client's QBES 19.0. It matches what I posted previously from this link where it states that it is not available (expand section for QBES 19.0): https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/Use-the-Sales-Order-Fulfillment-Worksheet/m-p/...
If this is wrong then that link should be updated. They have Advanced Inventory.
It looks like this:
not like this without Advanced Inventory:
