Save back up QBO Accountant

My bookkeeper uses the QuickBooks Accountant Online version.  She can't figure out how to export a backup to send to my accountant.  Is there a way she can do that?  She doesn’t think she can do it because she uses the accountant version of QBO.  I do not have the file.

Save back up QBO Accountant

Your'e right, @greenroomla

We're unable to export a backup of your QBOA account, however, there are some alternative options!

The first and easiest would be to invite your accountant to the account so they can access the files themselves. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click on the Gear Icon > Manage Users.
  3. Go to the Accounting Firms section.
  4. Enter your accountant's email address and first/last name (optional).
  5. Click Invite.

Here is a great article with supporting information on this: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online.

You can also consider a QBO to desktop conversion, and then make a backup of the new desktop company.  However, going from QBO to desktop is neither easy, nor fully the same.

Please let me know if you have any remaining questions on this, I'm happy to help!

Save back up QBO Accountant

I misunderstood your question in another post. Why do you need to export data from QBO Accountant? Why don't you just give an access to your accountant? You may utilize a migration tool.

I don't have access to the file.  My bookkeeper has the file and she uses QB Accountant Online.
