Script error in Quickbooks 2016 with Windows 10

I am receiving a Script Error in Quickbooks Pro 2016 (desktop, R17_28) every time I log into a company.

The Script Error is with a URL https://cdn.optimizely.com/js/[removed].js

I went through all the standard solutions of configuring Internet Explorer, which I assume it is still using in the background. I did the following:

Added *.intuit.com to the trusted websites in the Security Tab.

Cleared all cookies, history, and temp files.

Unchecked the box to "Display a Notification About Every Script Error" in the Advanced tab.

I don't know what else to try.  This seemed to happen after the computer was recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7, which I'm sure was the cause.  Quickbooks 2016 seems to function fine otherwise, but don't know if the error affects anything else in the program that I am unaware of.

Thanks for any info.

Thanks and welcome to the Community, @Centhan. I appreciate you for trying all the possible solutions to fix the issue before reaching us.

Since the steps didn't work, your data file might have been damaged or corrupted. We can run the Rebuild Data tool to check the error and resolve minor data problems. Here's how:

To verify data

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Click Utilities, then Verify Data.
  3. Click OK when prompted.

To rebuild data

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Click Utilities, then select Rebuild Data.
  3. Choose OK to back up your company file.
  4. Wait until the Rebuild is completed.
  5. Click View Results.

You can read through this help article: What to do if you can't open QuickBooks Desktop. It contains more troubleshooting steps in case you're still experiencing the same issue.

If the issue still persist, I'd recommend contacting your IT guy for further inspection and identifying the underlying cause of the script error.

@Centhan

If the problem still persists, open your file on trial license of Pro 2020 to isolate the issue.
