Search Function / Differences

We have 2 seperate QBO Companies/Files

In Company A, when we click on the magnifying glass the search box is displayed along with "Search your transactions, contacts and reports"

Under the search bar the following is displayed:

Search for Customers, vendors, transactions or reports.

Search by name, address, amount ($X.XX), date (MM/DD/YYYY) and more.

In Company B, when we click on the magnifying glass the search box is displayed but it only says:

"Search Transactions"

I've attached a picture of what the search functions look like for each company if that helps

Question 1 =  Why are they different?

Question 2 = How do we make Company B's search appear like Company A's?

Thanks in advance!!

Search Function / Differences

Hello @tonyd219,

I'd be glad to share a few insights on why the search functions in your companies don’t display the same options.

You don’t see the same search categories in Company A and B because they are under different clusters. The cluster number is shown in the address bar and it starts with the letter “c”.

I’ve attached a screenshot for your visual reference.

The updates are done slowly by the system, so you’ll get to see similar functions in no time.

Thanks for the reply - is there a timeline for when the different clusters will get the update?

As it stands now, Company A is c2, Company B is c38 - how long until c38 gets the update?

Thanks for getting back, tonyd219.

Allow me to add some information about the

At the moment, there is no exact time frame on when the updates for the clusters be available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Rest assured updates will automatically flow on your system once it's available.

I'm just a comment away if you have additional questions. It's always my pleasure to help you.
