Sending batch invoices & PO's shuts quickbooks down.

During the day as  I do things, I just mark it to be emailed later & at the end of the day, I just send a batch. Now, every time I try to do that, it shuts qb down & nothing gets sent. It's going to be so time consuming having to email each thing separately. I'm on Desktop Premier 2020.

Thanks for the details, @windylou.

I understand how convenient it is for you to batch email your invoices and purchase orders to your customers. Let's perform some steps to help fix the issue you're getting so you can get back up and running.

First, let's update your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) either manually or automatically to keep your software up-to-date with the latest features and fixes.

To do a manual update, here's how:

  1. Open QBDT by right-clicking the icon, and then choose Run as administrator.
  2. Go to the Help menu at the top corner, and then select the Update QuickBooks Desktop option.
  3. Tap the Options tab, and then pick Mark All.
  4. Click Save once done.

  5. Now, go to the Update Now tab, and then mark the Reset Update box.
  6. Select Get Updates, and then hit Save to continue.

Once completed, close and reopen QBDT to refresh the system and ensure to apply all the updates.

On the other hand, if you'll want to do an automatic update, browse the Set up automatic updates section of this link for the detailed steps on how.

Then, let's batch email your invoices and purchase orders again. If the same thing happens, I suggest running the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This can help us fix some common QBDT issues such as the following:

  • QuickBooks crashing.
  • Error 6123, H202.
  • Company file issues, Install issues, or errors.
  • Networking errors, PDF, and printing errors.

For the best experience, I recommend using the Tool Hub on Windows 10, 64-bit. Once ready, here's how to proceed:

  1. Close QuickBooks, and then download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  2.  Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Once done, choose the Program Problems tab under Step 2 of this article to continue the troubleshooting steps.

You can customize your invoices and purchase orders to make them more appealing and professional-looking.

Also, you'll want to run the Open Invoices report to keep track of all the unpaid invoices and statement charges, with totals for each customer, and when they're due. Just go to the Reports menu, and then select the Customers and Receivables tab.

If you'd like to personalize your reports, you can customize them to pull up the desired info and formats. You also have the option to memorize them to save the customization settings for easy access.

Please let me know if you need more help with managing your sales forms or anything else related to QuickBooks. Take care and have a great day.

Sending batch invoices & PO's shuts quickbooks down.

Thanks for the help, but nothing worked. I already have ToolHub, didn't fix it. I've updated my PC &QB, didn't fix it. I've already wasted half a day on this and it's not looking like I'm going to be able to repair it without contacting support, which I hate to have to do.
