Hello, I have a prospective client who operates an Insurance Agency/Brookage, he makes a commission base on the premiums collected from members of his organization and places(take out medical insurance plans etc} with a major Insurance company. How do I set up to account for income earned from his different lines of business etc medical, life? His income is base on a % of premium collected from his clients.QBD.

Make Service items; they all link to the one Income account. Name them, for example, Life Ins, or Whole Life and Term Life, Auto, Home, Medical, Short Term Disability, etc. use them for the Sales to the customer name.
