So a lot of my sent invoices go in customers spam!! Its an SPF issue!

‎So a lot of my sent invoices go in customers spam, which causes lots of issues and time wasted and makes me look stupid as a web developer I'm often telling customers the importance of properly authenticated emails and they then think my emails are going in spam, most don't realise there not coming from me but QBO

Two things would fix this:

A) Have us able to send emails from our own email accounts, being able to add our SMTP to send the invoices. QBO said this was coming, here I am still waiting over a year later. I'm on the verge of finding alternatives the only reason that I haven't yet is the thought of all the hassle of moving to a whole new system, and I have a great QBO-certified accountant.

B) Give us a text line we can add to our domain's SPF records that will identify the sending server that QBO uses.

Like this article says: https://support.google.com/a/answer/33786?hl=en#zippy=%2Cthird-party-email-providers

Please QBO make this a Priority well authenticated emails don't go in spam.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on sending invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Stevemdp.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a cloud-server platform that sends invoices using default email addresses such as quickbooks@notification.intuit.com and quickbooks-email@intuit.com. I understand that you want to use your email account to send invoices.

Changing the default email address when sending invoices is unavailable. Currently, the system only allows to sent from Gmail addresses. If you want to send invoices through Gmail, follow the steps below:

  1. Create an invoice or open an existing one.
  2. Fill out the necessary fields, select Save and send to open the preview window.
  3. Above the customer’s email, select the From ▼ dropdown.
  4. Click Add Gmail address, then Connect Google account.
  5. Enter your Gmail address in the sign-in window, then select Next. If your computer remembers your Gmail, select the email you want to use. Then Allow.
  6. Enter your Gmail password, then Next.
  7. Once done, hit Allow

Also, you can request your customer to add Intuit's email addresses to their contact list to prevent email from being redirected to their spam folder. Check out the following articles below for more insights:

I also like your idea of being able to configure your domain when sending invoices in QuickBooks Online. I suggest you submit a product suggestion to our Product Development team for future enhancement. It would be a fantastic addition to our software, and a lot would benefit from it.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Click Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then hit Next to submit feedback.

In addition, I've included the following links that will help you modify your sales forms and record customer payments:
