Sorry, we can't verify your QuickBooks subscription

Our office is running QuickBooks 2019 Desktop. We are not subscribing to the yearly maintenance. Today one of the users starting getting the message, "Sorry, we can't verify your QuickBooks subscription. / Your billing information on file need updates. Make sure your billing and credit card information is up to date in the next 6 days to avoid losing access to QuickBooks and help us verity your subscription."

 

Can someone tell me what this is about before I make a phone call to QB Billing? As far as I can recall we bought a one-shot standalone QuickBooks. I know we have not been paying any subscription fee.

It looks like we did have the Subscription version, which is expiring. I thought for sure we had the one-time purchase version.

Check on your payment history in CAMPS. If you were purchasing QBD 2019 Plus version, you had to pay something last year.

I've been getting this too.  It is really odd.  I logged into my account (not through the link in the pop up message) and everything looks fine and paid for.   I am still running 2019, so maybe it wants me to upgrade. Everyone on my system is getting a different deadline for the popup message.   I feel like it is a phishing scam.  When you click the link, it does not take you to a link within QB the way logging into the account does.   Just my concern and not sure who to tell it to.

I can provide some information on receiving subscription alerts in QuickBooks.

 

Here are some of the reason why you can get subscription alerts:

  • The automatic renewal isn't successful, or the credit card or bank account on file is outdated.
  • Intuit is having trouble getting authorization with your payroll billing information.
  • You're using an incorrect Payroll tax table version.

 

You've mentioned that there's no problem with your account, then I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support team. They can check your account in a secure environment and verify why you're having this notification. 

 

You can follow the steps below on how to reach them:

  1. From your QuickBooks Desktop account, click the Help menu at the top.  
  2. Click the QuickBooks Desktop Help menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Provide some information about this concern on the search box.
  4. Click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the window. 
  5. You'll now be provided with a few support options.

this top photo on 3/22 said 7 days and was on my assistant's computer.

This second photo was on my computer as the administrator today.  When her photo said 7 days, mine said 3 days.  

 

Now it will not let me into quickbooks at all when I hit close.

What we can do is double-check your QuickBooks Desktop license status by logging in to CAMPS. Then, make sure it's active. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to camps.intuit.com
  2. Sign in with your Intuit Account info. This could be different from what you use to sign in to your company file.
  3. If you see multiple products to choose from, select QuickBooks Desktop to go to CAMPs.

 

If it's still active and getting the same message, it would also be best to contact our support team to verify your account. They are the ones who can validate it and give you accurate details on why it's showing different days from your assistant's computer. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
  2. Select your product.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern.
  4. Then, follow the on-screen instruction to complete the process. You'll then connected to our specialist.

I am getting the message too, the link to connect is dead. How do we log into CAMPS? I am getting an error message there too. When contacting customer service via chat they say my subscription doesn't end until Jan (it is now Nov). Why am I getting this pop up now? It even came up in the middle of a PP presentation - SO ANNOYING.

Hi Candace, I have spoken to chat support twice now, they verified my subscription through January 2022, I have updated my expired credit card and I am still getting this pop up message. How do I get rid of this?
