Starting Over

I need to completely start over with my QB account. I found how to delete online data and start over. Now if I do this it says you need to choose update credit card and to cancel subscription link, exactly what does that mean? Do I still own my program? Because it says also I can use the same user ID and password I had.  I haven't activated payroll. Only thing I did was add my banking and so I know I can redo all of that and added some of my customers and invoices from my old Desktop 2014.  When I had help bringing everything over when I called in after purchasing my  she didn't tell me a few things on what not to do and I just have a mess. Easier to start over if I can. I have only had this new account for 1 week so I know I am okay as far as able to start over just need to know if things will be okay when I do this. It will be like new. I am Quickbooks Online Plus

Starting Over

Before starting over your company file, let's answer the questions you have in mind, MissB.

You only need to cancel your subscription and sign up for a new one (using the same log in credentials) if your QuickBooks Online account is active for more than 60 days.

Since it's only been a week when you sign up, we can do the purge process to delete the data you've imported from QuickBooks Desktop. Make sure you still have the QuickBooks Desktop file so you can import it again at the later part.

Now, here's how to wipe out the data from your QuickBooks Online account:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Edit the URL and add /purgecompany. For example, the URL shows Change it to
  3. This will show you the information that will be deleted. Enter YES to confirm the action.
  4. Click OK and select Wipe Data.

You can also use this article for reference: Deleting Online Data and Starting Over.

After that, you can reimport the QuickBooks Desktop file to your QuickBooks Online company again.

I'll be right here if you need more help with this.
