Join nowWe have had a couple instances where we have entered a new sub - class such as "Class - Physcian; Sub-Class - Dr. G" and "Dr. G" has been added multiple times automatically. Has anyone come across this and if so, is there a fix. We are currently on Desktop Enterprise 17 but will be upgrading to DE 20 within a day or two.

Hey, @RMI - MD.
Congrats on making your first post here in the Community. The best way to help resolve this issue is to upgrade your QuickBooks Desktop 2017 (QBDT) account to QBDT 2020. Using an older version of the product will cause problems in your account, like the one that's occurring with your class list.
Here's how:
You'll receive a message when you open QuickBooks, saying that the new version is available.
It's that easy.
Let me know if this helps. I want to make sure all of your concerns are addressed. Have a great day!

Good Morning, We upgraded to the 2020 version but the problem persists. We have a sub class that keeps duplicating. My administrator says that he can’t merge each sub class into one and delete the remaining duplicates. How can we move the info related to each sub class into one and delete the rest and prevent this from happening again.
Thanks for getting back to us, RMI - MD.
I can see that you've updated QuickBooks to the latest one, but it still got you the same thing. I'd like to provide additional information on what we can do to sort it out.
If you haven't tried performing the Verify Rebuild troubleshooting, I would suggest doing it to identify if the duplicate data is caused by data integrity issues within your company file.
First, let's open your QuickBooks Company file. Then, follow the steps below to complete the process:

In case you need to look for more details about the process of resolving data issues, you can check this article anytime.
If the issue persists, I would recommend contacting our phone support to further investigate this matter. Our specialists have enough tools to use of investigating what triggers the process of setting up sub-classes in a private environment. Also, I've tried checking records here and found out that there's no open case about this issue.
Here's how to get in touch with them:
To ensure that we accommodate your concerns immediately, please consider checking our phone support availability. Go to the QuickBooks Desktop section to view all the details.
Please keep me posted on how the call goes. I want to make sure you're able to eliminate all the duplicates sub-classes within your company file. Take care and stay safe always!
