Join nowHello,
I've been using the QB Online Bill Pay feature with little trouble the past few years. However, the couple times I've had an issue with a particular payment and have called QB support for assistance, I've been advised to contact Bill.com since they are the ones actually issuing the payments. I get that they are. But I can't seem to access the Bill.com support system because I don't have an account/subscription with them. What am I missing here? Did I somehow get an account with Bill.com when I signed up for Online Bill Pay? If so how would I find that number?
Any advice as to how others have handled this would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi there, @lmnk.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'd be glad to lend a hand with getting in contact with the correct support.
QuickBooks Online works together with Online Bill Pay and is powered by Bill.com, but also supported by our QuickBooks Support Team. When contacting QB Online Support, there may have been some miscommunications that led to you being directed to Bill.com's Support Team. Could you fill me in with some additional information on the issues that are occurring?
If it turns out that I'll need to pull up your account, then I suggest reaching back out to QuickBooks Online Support as I'm unable to take emails, company ID's through the Community. However, I'd love to learn more about the matter and see what I can do for you.
I look forward to chatting with you soon. Have a good rest of your day!
Thank you Kendra, I realize it's been a couple months since this thread started. The particular payment issue that prompted my initial post resolved itself, but now I have a new one, and the same problem with QB Online Support occurred when I called just now. I asked for help researching a payment I made to a vendor through the Online Bill Pay feature, and the rep just kept telling me to get in touch with Bill.com. I would love to! I know they're the ones doing the actual processing. But I can't get in touch with them because I'm not a subscriber to Bill.com - I'm simply using a QB feature. I've gotten the same runaround every time I've called over the past six months, which is extra frustrating because in the past I've had QB Support conference a Bill.com rep into the call and my issues have been taken care of. I asked this time if the QB rep could that and he just said "I don't see any numbers to call." So unless I'm missing something obvious, like a Bill.com subscription was created when I signed up for the QB feature, then I feel like I have no recourse when a payment goes awry. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Good day, lmnk.
I understand that this may be a bit confusing. Though Bill Pay is powered by Bill.com, you can still contact the QuickBooks Online team for assistance. I suggest reaching out back to them for any concerns you may have about Bill Pay.
Also, once you signed up for Bill Pay, Bill.com will have your records as well. You can get the direct phone number you can contact regarding Bill Pay.
Then, you'll see the phone number of Bill Pay Support. I've added this link for more details about this feature: What is Online Bill Pay.
Please post again here if you have additional concerns. Wishin you all the best!
These steps don't work. They take me to the general QBO support chat. Two QBO chatters, one QBO person on the phone, and two Bill.com chatters cannot help me to simply change a vendor bank account number. They've changed banks. Should be easy peasy. But I've spent 90 minutes on it. And still, one can help.
Hi there, accounting225.
Thanks for checking out the Community space. I've checked your post and found that you've posted similar concerns twice. Please know that the identical one was already answered by my colleague, Rose-A.
You can view her answer through this link where she explained the process of updating the vendor's bank account in Online Bill Pay: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/other-questions/re-how-do-i-get-support-for-online....
In addition, I'm including these articles to help manage your vendor bills and expenses:
