symbol issue

Our company use the 2019 desktop premier version.

There is " (inch) symbol in item description. On some computers, the symbol works fine, but on some computers it comes out as a strange symbol. Is it a QB problem or a computer setting problem?

Thank you

symbol issue

Are all computers running the same identical version of the Windows OS?

symbol issue

Thanks for letting us know, AleumusaShinark.

We haven't received any reports about the symbol issue with QuickBooks Desktop 2019 version. There are several reasons why some of your computers experienced this unexpected behavior. Here are the following:

  • QuickBooks Desktop is not updated.
  • Pending Window updated.
  • Damage company file.
  • QuickBooks Desktop has missing components.

Let's work together to solve this issue. Please ensure that QuickBooks Desktop on the affected computers is up-to-date to the latest release. This guarantees that it has the most recent features and fixes. Aside from that, make sure there are no pending Windows updates, as this can affect the software's system performance.

Also, you can perform the verify and rebuild data to ensure that your company file is in good working order and to eliminate the chance of data damage.

To Verify Data:

  1. Go to the Window at the top, then Close All.
  2. Choose File.
  3. Click on Utilities.
  4. Hit Verify Data.

To Rebuild Data:

  1. Choose File.
  2. Click on Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. You will receive a warning message to backup your company file, press OK.
  5. Hit OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed".
