The QuickBooks Guide to Converting QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online

I am a CPA.  A client gave me a thumb drive with their QuickBooks Accountants Transfer file on it. When I try to convert the file from the thumb to my QB program, the message appears that I need to enter the password that was used to send the file to Intuits Server.  But it was not sent to Intuit. It was saved to a thumb drive.  I have been importing these type of QB files for years. Never a problem.  But now, I can not get past the "enter the password that was used to send the file to Intuits Server".  Please help.

At the very minimum you need the file password that the client uses daily.

But possibly the client added a new extra password on the accountants copy for transfer that they did not need. Are you sure the client gaveyou the current file password?
