The recent SC Dept of Rev garnishment that I entered 2 pay periods ago has not withheld any money. I have not encountered this problem previously. What am I missing ?

Is the garnishment field for payroll deductions out of service ?

The garnishment field for payroll deductions isn't out of service in QuickBooks Online (QBO), John430.

Please note that your employee garnishment will automatically stop once the total amount has been reached. I recommend reviewing the limit or cap set for the garnishment, as this explains why it is no longer being deducted from the paycheck.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to Payroll, then look for the Employee.
  3. In the Deductions and contributions section, click Edit.
  4. Go to the Garnishments section, then click the pencil icon to edit your garnishment.
  5. Review the setup, especially the Alternate garnishment cap.

After that, you can request an amendment to correct your paycheck. Also, consider exploring QuickBooks Payroll to streamline and enhance your payroll process.

The comment section remains open for any QBO-related inquiries or assistance you need.
