There is currently no direct way to open and import this into your current QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. You'll need to open the file in the Desktop version, then import it to QBO. If you no longer have the QBDT software, not to worry, you can install our trial version. From there, you can restore the backup copy.

Here's how to export the file:

1. Restore the backup copy.
2. Click the Company menu.
3. Choose Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
4. Select Start your export.
5. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
6. Follow the next on-screen instructions.

I recommend checking out the import limitations so that you can make sure everything is in order before starting the export.
