Trouble Importing To Quickbooks Online

I have contacted QB support about this problem twice without resolving it and I am getting extremely frustrated.

 

I was test-driving QB online about a month ago. I was able to export from QB Desktop to QB online with no issue. I decided to subscribe and actually pay for it and was forced to create a new business account. That's fine, I didn't do anything major in the trial anyway. I go to QB Desktop to export and it automatically closes. I see the link for the trial version and decide to try that. Same problem. I uninstall my original Desktop version and reinstall it. I manage to persuade it not to close and I am able to get to a screen that says that I'm not in admin mode (I am). I look online and see that I can create a copy for QB Online. I'm able to do that. However, I'm not able to import it.

 

The person from QB support I talked to informed me that they can't help me due to me using a trial version of QB Desktop.

 

This is a giant headache (spent three days on this now) and right now I'm thinking about canceling my membership and just going with someone else. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can fix this issue?

I can help you fix the import issue you're currently experiencing, rcusyk21.

 

We can start with resolving the issue about QuickBooks Desktop closes when opening it. A damaged Windows operating system or you may have corruption on your hard drive are a few reasons why the system crashes. You can update QuickBooks to its latest release first to have up-to-date fixes. Right after that, you can open the company file and try exporting. 

 

If you get the same thing, you can run Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tool Hub to run a repair on your program. For more details, you can click here. You can try opening your company file again as Master Admin and start moving your data into QuickBooks Online
