Join nowHello there, @financials1.
I'm here to help change the reconciliation ending year to 2018 instead of 2028.
To input the correct ending year, it would be best to undo the entire reconciliation and input the correct year when redoing the reconciliation process. To undo an entire reconciliation, you must manually edit each transaction. You can use your reconciliation report or bank statement to identify the transactions you need to edit.
For the detailed steps on how to unreconcile a transaction or undo a reconciliation, you can check this article: How to unreconcile a transaction or undo a reconciliation.
If you need further assistance with the process, you may get in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support Team.
Let me know if you have any other other reconciliation concerns, I'm always here to keep helping. Have a great day ahead!
This does not seem to identify the root cause of this issue. However, I was able to continue reconciling the remainder of the year with correct dates without unreconciling. Although, it appears that QBs has only been pulling in some of the transactions for each month rather than all of them, causing me to manually enter the missing ones.
Hello financials1,
Thanks for coming back.
One possible reasons why you can't see the transactions when reconciling is that they weren't added from your bank feeds. If your bank is connected to QuickBooks Online, the system downloads the transactions into your Banking page. You'll then add them so they'll show in your register. Please check out your For Review page to see if there are transactions that need to get reviewed and added.
Another one is that there were no transactions recorded since then. You can run the register QuickReport to see if these transactions were added.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Yes, my account is connected to my bank and transactions were missing/not downloaded from the bank. They were not in my feed to be added either. I have manually added them for now. If this problem persists, which it did for a few months, I will reach out and see what the cause is.
Welcome back, @financials1,
It's nice to see you here today. I want to ensure everything gets fixed in your end.
The data uploaded in QuickBooks depends on what your bank shares with us and how your transactions are posted on your bank's website. In your case, since the transactions were not downloaded in QuickBooks you can manually add them to make sure you're able to run the reconcilation.
I also want to know what your financial institution is, that way we can check for any ongoing investigations related to your bank. You may also want to try the steps outlined in this article if you encounter the same issue: What to do if bank transactions won’t download
If you have any other questions, please feel free to post again. I'll be around to assist you anytime. Have a good day!
