Welcome to the Community, Mally0712! I'm delighted to see you make your first post! Importing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data into TurboTax is essential for accurate tax filings. Rest assured, I'll be here to guide you through each step, making sure you complete the process smoothly and efficiently.

With QBO, you can do your taxes directly without needing to import to TurboTax. However, since the latter asks for a .qbb file, you'll need to export your data to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) first. This will allow you to send the right format to TurboTax.

You have the option to use a free trial version of QBDT or the existing one on your computer to transfer your data from QBO. When you're ready, begin by downloading the migration tool within QBO. Here’s how to proceed:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Export Overview page.
  3. Click Get Started80.png
  4. Select Download. Note: Keep this page open on your browser.
  5. Install the migration tool, then select Next81.png
  6. Read and accept the terms in the license agreement, then select Next.
  7. Select Install, then select Finish.

Right after, export your QBO data. Then, run the QBDT migration tool and check if the exported file matches. For the step-by-step guide, please see this article: Move data from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.

Once everything is all set, import your .qbb file to TurboTax. Here are the steps to do so:

  1. Log in to your TurboTax account and continue with your tax return.
  2. In the TurboTax menu, click on File.
  3. Select Import, then From Accounting Software.
  4. Choose QuickBooks and click the Continue button.
  5. Finally, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

@Mally0712

You can use the trial version of QB Desktop 2024 Enterprise as a workaround.
