Trying to transf QB2014to new computer. QB saysincorrect product code ?? But it is correct ?

QB 2014 reached end of life in May 2017. Intuit has a 3-year lifecycle for the Desktop programs. That means it won't install now and it won't register now and it is not compatible with Windows 10, if that is what you have on this new computer. Further, your data file is now 5 years behind current. It is time to get QB 2019.

Hi @kellyjstyle,

As of this time, you're unable to install the QuickBooks Desktop 2019 to your computer with the Windows XP operating system.

To learn more about our system requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2019, you can read this article for your reference: System Requirements for QuickBooks 2019 and Enterprise Solutions 19.0.

Thus said, you may consider upgrading to a newer version of the Windows operating system so that you can install the QuickBooks 2019.

Lastly, I'll be also including an article that'll help you if you wish to install the QuickBooks 2019: What's New in QuickBooks Desktop for Windows 2019.

As always, you can leave a comment below or start a new thread if you have ny other concerns. I'll be keeping an eye or your response.

Thanks for getting back to the Community, @kellyjstyle.

Allow me to chime in and provide some details about downloading QuickBooks Desktop.

You can still download your QuickBooks Pro 2014 to the old Windows XP computer.  Since your QuickBooks version is no longer supported possible that the product ID and license number of your QuickBooks have already been expired.

However, you can an option move the entire QuickBooks data folder by following these steps:

  1. Identify the file location.
    •    If file is open: Press F2 (or Ctrl+1) on your keyboard. Check the location from the File Information section.
    •    If file is closed: Open QuickBooks Desktop. You will see the file path in the No Company Open window.
  2. Navigate to the folder.
  3. Right-click the folder, then select Copy.
  4. Paste the folder in your external device (flash drive, hard drive, thumb drive, etc.).
  5. Plug in the device to your new computer, then Copy the files to the local drive.
  6. Launch QuickBooks Desktop, then open your file.

For additional reference, you can check this article on how to move your company files to another computer

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other questions about downloading QuickBooks Desktop. Have a good day ahead.

hi @kellyjstyle ,

Should you have any access to your CAMPS, you may download the installer from there.

Another option, I may share a reliable download site for it. PM me once you need it later.

Hope it helps.

Hi there, @kellyjstyle.

Only our support team can confirm if your product ID and license number are already expired. And I'd like to route you to them.

Since the Community is a public place that everyone can access, I suggest contacting our Technical Support Team. They have the tools to pull up and check your account in a secure environment. That way, they can confirm if your product ID and license number are already expired.

To reach them:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. In the Have a Question window, click Contact us at the bottom portion of the screen.
  4. Click Search for something else.
  5. Type in a keyword about your concern.
  6. Hit Search.
  7. Click on Start a Message.
