We currently have a server hosted company file with QBDBSM accessed in multi-user mode using a Premier 2019 3 User license. We need to upgrade to have at least 5 licenses.
Cheapest option to accomplish that is buying 2 sets of QB Premier 2020 3 User licenses, rather than adding 2 seats to 2019 or buying a 5 User license.
My question is that aside from updating QBDBSM, firewall ports, installing all the new versions on the 5 users' PCs, and upgrading the Company File: would there be any conflict or issues since 3 users will be under one license, while the other 2 will be under a different one?
I appreciate any help you can provide.

Let me share some insights into using QBDT with different licenses and versions through a multi-user mode setting.
I sighted two flaws that would create issues within your company file:
However, if they have the same QBDT version with two different licenses, you can contact our Care Support Team to merge the licenses. Just open your QuickBooks and press the F1 key and then click Contact Us.

I appreciate the responses given with the general information.
I was hoping to get a firm answer if two of the exact same versions of "QuickBooks Premier Editions 2020, 3 User Licenses (Includes Nonprofit Edition)" are 100% capable of being combined before they are purchased.
Please let me know if possible, otherwise please provide the contact for who can answer this pre-sale question about product functionality.

If the two versions are the same but have different licenses, you can contact our Care Support Team to merge the licenses. To reach the support team, open your QuickBooks and press the F1 key and then click Contact Us.

There is no a license of QBD Premier for 6 users. You may consider purchasing a one time license of QBD Premier Accountant for 10 users instead. But keep in mind, QB Database Manager is only allowed 5 users working on the same file at the same time.
