When I open the application of Quickbooks for Mac 2020, it starts as if I am a new company with no data location. I have to browse to find my comany data and open it. Is there a way for it to always open my comany. I have only a single company.

The fix had nothing to do with QuickBooks. I was using all the memory on hard drive from checking off the wrong box in my Mac Mail, and it was saving quadruplicates of every email on my computer. I removed those files and unchecked the box and now all is well and it opens properly. So, for anybody else who has this problem check Apple Storage first.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @joeheyman.
The No Company Open window lists all the Recent Files used when you open QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. To access your company file, you'll have to select it from that list. Also, if you need your company file to show in a specific directory you can manually copy and paste the file(s) in question. Then, choose the correct directory by clicking the Browse button in the No Company Open page.

As you can see from the screenshot, I can not see any companies on my opening screen. There is no list. I have only a single company. It used to open without difficulty and without this screen. It would take me right to the administrator sign in screen. What happened? How can I fix it?
